Can I fit JK wheels on my JL?
The answer is, YES! Both Wrangler generations come with a 5x127 (5x5) bolt pattern, and they share the same wheel diameter options from 16-20” with a 71.5mm bore size and identical wheel offsets. One thing to remember is that the difference between JL and JK wheels are your wheel lug nuts, they are different, and you can easily pick up a set of lug nuts to fit your model.

Wrangler JK & JL Wheels: Stock Suspension or No Lift
The best fitment for a stock Jeep, in most cases is where the wheel is sitting just outside the fender flare, the chart below is sizes specifically for the wheel to sit at this position. Anything beyond these sizes will require special modifications such as a lift kit and fender modifications.

Wrangler JK & JL Wheels : Leveling Kit or Lift up to 2”
Adding a leveling kit to your Wrangler will increase its ability to accept a 35” tire and still have room to flex, or articulate for those who may find themselves off the road occasionally. The offsets tend to stay the same with stock and lifted applications, adding a lift kit will solve clearance issues on larger tire setups.
