Carli's 4.5" Super Duty suspension systems are the premier option for 2017-22 Ford Super Duty pickups. Carli has spent countless time tuning the shocks in this system, offering the best in both on road and off road ride quality and handling. This kit offers substantial on-road and off-road performance improvement. Customers can expect more control and bottom-out resistance than the Backcountry, but still have excellent on road ride. With the 4.5" system, there is also an increase in travel and ride quality over the 2.5" kits.
Carli designed a custom piston and custom tuned the King shocks to ride as smooth as possible on and off road. All of Carli's King shock shafts are machined and polished from a solid piece of 17-4 Stainless. The shocks are finished with King oil good to -55 F.
The truck will sit 4.5/5.5" higher in the front and have more wheel travel thanks to the taller, Progressive Rate Coil Springs. Radius Arm Drop Brackets reset the pivot point and keep the travel linear for the best ride while the Sway Bar Link Drop Brackets Kit resets the sway bar engagement point. The End Link Kit is listed as an "option", but it's necessary to run. Carli plans to release a Torsion Sway Bar in the near future so the end-link options were pulled from the base kit and made selectable in anticipation of the second option. Bump Stop Drops protect the shocks from over-compressing, the Adjustable Track Bar centers the front axle, and Stainless Brake Lines firm up braking and ensure there is enough line for the newfound travel. To round off the front end, Carli includes Caster Shims to help achieve proper caster.
The 2020+ Ford F250/350 Platform is the same as the 17-19 but they lowered the front 1" and the rear 1"-1.5" depending on the cab configuration and 250/350 designation. For this reason, the only change to the suspension systems will be the stated lift height. The 4.5" Lift Systems from the previous generation, 2017-19, are now 5.5" for the 2020.
