The Crown Automotive Grease Fitting is for the leaf spring bolts on the u-type shackles. Grease fittings fail over time due to over packing or gunk getting into the zerk head and jamming the spring. To keep your suspension properly lubricated and to keep the parts from premature wear, replace the grease fittings when you see grease coming out of the head or if you have to apply more than usual pressure to pump the grease gun.
