Description

Go big with the BDS 8-inch lift kit for your Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 resulting in one of a kind lifted truck. Designed to improve stance performance and capability this kit includes everything necessary to set your truck up right with clearance for up to 35" tires

This kit takes advantage of BDS's tried and true high-clearance design for improved ground clearance strength and offroad protection while correcting suspension and steering geometry for great on-road handling characteristics. Up front the kit utilizes top mount strut spacers high-arched 1/4-inch thick steel crossmembers along with a multipiece differential relocation brackets and heavy duty skid plates built for offroad protection. Steering geometry is corrected at the new taller ride height with CNC-machined ductile iron steering knuckles. These combined with the provided sway bar drops bump stop extensions brake line brackets CV spacers supplied hardware and more provide a comprehensive front suspension lift ready for whatever you throw at it.

In the rear BDS offers both replacement lift block / add-a-leaf combo and full Glide-Ride leaf spring options to lift and level that stance. The lift block installs in place of the stock block and retains ride quality and load capacity. Also for the rear are new u-bolts brake line brackets and precision tuned NX2 Nitro Series shocks.

High Clearance Crossmembers

BDS maximizes ground clearance with their heavy duty 1/4-inch thick laser cut perfect fit crossmembers. Paired with a front skid plate system that bolts together to create a rigid subframe while adding extra protection.

Heavy Duty Steering Knuckles

BDS corrects steering geometry at the new taller ride height using a pair of high-strength CNC machined ductile cast iron steering knuckle design to work with factory tie rod ends to maintain steering angles for proper function and ESC compatibility.

  • GM is producing several knuckle/control arm configurations in models trucks. Cast Steel control arm equipped models will require the "Cast Steel Control Arm" kit. Stamped Steel and Aluminum control arm equipped models will require the "Aluminum Control Arm" kit. Be sure to verify which factory control arms your truck has before ordering by referencing the help images in each tab below.
  • NX2 Nitro Series: Nitrogen-charged, Twin-tube design, 10-stage velocity-sensitive valving, Dual-welded ends for increased strength, 1-3/8-inch high-flow piston, Self-lubricating seals, Silver powder coat finish.

Notes

  • Requires frame bracket modification
  • Requires differential modification to clear electric power steering
  • Vehicles came from the factory with several knuckle/control arm configurations requiring specific kit selections. Be sure to reference the important notes and images above to determine the correct control arm selection for your application.
  • Factory 17" and 18" wheels cannot be reinstalled due to tie rod end interference.
  • All wheel drive models require drive line modification.
