Storage Construction. The Expedition Rack with the basket by Garvin is designed so that you can carry 300 pounds of gear and equipment safe off-road, or 500 pounds static weight. Fashioned from ¾ inch heavy duty steel tubing with 1 inch steel tubing supports, this rack is built to last. Black powder coat finish throughout prevents rusting. The Expedition Rack is covered by Garvin Industries's limited lifetime warranty against defects.
Storage Specs. The Expedition Rack is made to allow useful access to the roof, including removal of hard top front roof panels without removing the rack. The rack can be tilted to allow removal or installation of the soft top also. The basket's sides provide a confined container in which various small to medium items can be stored, including gear, camping equipment such as tents, fishing and hunting equipment, containers of food or drinking water, and so on.
Application. Garvin Industries's Expedition Rack is a roof rack that fits 2-door models of 2007-2018 JK Wranglers. This rack bolts on to brackets on the windshield frame in front, and the rear bodywork of the Jeep at the back. Minor drilling is needed in a few places to complete assembly, though this rack is mostly bolt-on. Ease of installation is between easy and intermediate. Basket assembly and attachment to the roof rack is straightforward.
