Description

GlowShift's Black 7 Color Series Volt Gauge monitors your vehicle's electrical system from 8 to 18 volts, measuring the levels of your car or truck's power supply to make sure it is providing a proper charge. This auto volt gauge includes a color coded wire harness that allows you to directly connect the gauge to the car battery or any other power source.

GlowShift's Black 7 Color Gauge Series comes standard with features including a black gauge face, magnified clear lens and illuminated red needle that sweeps 270 degrees for maximum accuracy. These gauges also come equipped with stepper motor technology which gives this auto gauge tachometer the perfect combination of incredibly accurate readings and extremely smooth needle movement. The Black 7 Color Gauge Series includes the ultra-bright LED solid color modes Blue, Green, Red, Teal, Yellow, Purple and White. With GlowShift's 7 color LED through dial lighting system you can select and change the color of your gauge lighting display by simply pressing the button located along the front of the gauge. By taking advantage of the 7 Solid Color Settings and 2 Color Cycle Modes that utilize all of these radiant LED colors, you can fully customize the color of this truck or car tachometer gauge and add your own personal touch to the inside of your vehicle. Choose to either match your factory dash lights, or you can create a unique, original lighting pattern. Since a Color Memory option is built in, you won't have to reset the color of your gauge every time you turn on your vehicle. It will reflect your most recent color setting the next time it is active. By connecting the orange wire of your gauge to the factory headlight switch, you'll be able to dim your gauge 30% when your headlights are turned on to reduce the brightness of your gauges while driving at night.

An analog volt gauge is important because they monitor your car or truck's charging system, which is what provides an electrical current to your vehicle. Ultimately, without a charging system, your vehicle's battery would run out quickly. The purpose of a volt gauge, also referred to as a voltmeter, is to monitor the functionality of this system and provide an advance warning in the event there's an issue, so you'll have a chance to address the issue before your battery runs out. This is in contrast to many vehicles which have a built-in warning which alerts you only after the charging system has stopped working completely. It is extremely important to have a way to monitor your car or truck's voltage system. Spikes can be caused by a variety of different factors including a faulty regulator or related circuits, auxiliary lighting, sound systems, towing heavy equipment, running a snowplow, and more. It's easy to know how to read a truck or car voltmeter gauge as well. Modern vehicles operate on a 12 volt electrical system, and your analog voltmeter will read approximately 12.5 volts when your vehicle is not running, and 14 volts when in use. Essentially, if your car or truck consistently runs below 14 volts, or if it runs steadily above 15 volts, you should have it checked. This is where your 12 volt battery gauge is an extremely practical, effective and easy to use instrument for monitoring your vehicle's electrical system.
