Design. The Rugged Ridge front door storage bag kit consists of a pair of storage bags made out of tough nylon cloth. This nylon is weatherproof and resists tears and other damage. Color is black. There is a strap carrying handle positioned to make an underarm carry comfortable and efficient. The zipper is large and beefy, able to stand up to the punishment meted out by the outdoors.
Storage Benefits. The storage bags are a carefully designed way to protect and move your full hard Jeep doors when they are not in use. The soft interior fabric guards valuable paint jobs against scratching or chipping while the doors are being moved to a new location or are being stored at the current one. The nylon also sheds at least some rain and keeps out insects and other problematic creatures. These bags feature a 5 year limited warranty.
Application. The first step in using these storage bags is to remove the hard door from the Jeep. This is done by disconnecting the door strap and the wiring hardness, and folding down the mirrors. The Torx hinge nuts are removed and the bag is slipped over the door while it is still in place. The bag and door are then lifted clear together and the zipper is zipped shut. This process takes less than an hour with the proper tools, and is easier with two people involved.
