Construction. Constructed out of steel coated in two different finishes - a rust-defying e-coating and textured powder coat paint - the Rugged Ridge Sherpa roof rack fits 2007-2018 JK 4 door Jeep Wranglers. The rack weighs 78 lbs and measures 76 inches by 40 inches by 10 inches. The cargo rack sports 3 light tabs which can also be used to mount other accessories such as an aftermarket antenna. It is protected by a 5 year limited warranty against defects.

Specs. The Sherpa is a heavy duty, universal cargo carrier for the roof of Jeep Wranglers. This particular model is made for 4 door JK Wranglers. The tilting feature, which enables access to take off hard and soft tops without removing the whole rack, adds to its convenience. The design is rugged and its surface is thoroughly rust proofed.

Features & Accessories. The Rugged Ridge Light Bar Lowering Kit, which allows 4 lights to be fitted instead of 3, is a premier accessory compatible with the Sherpa. It can also make use of the Rugged Ridge Sherpa roof rack adapter kit, which enables mounting of aftermarket crossbars.

Application. There is no need to drill new holes to install the Sherpa roof rack, which attaches to OE bolt mounting points. The windshield brackets are used to bolt the front mountings in place, while those at the rear are secured via the bumper bolts. If lights are being used with the light bar, then a wire needs to be run through the pre-drilled hole in the left windshield bracket to supply them with power. This should be sealed with a rubber grommet and silicone.
