If you have upgraded your rear bumper to a bumper with hitch and want to get the most strength when towing or carrying heavy racks, the frame tie in brackets create a gusseted link to the frame behind the crossmember. These help to distribute the loads to the frame so the bumper does not sag or pull away from the cross member. These have also been designed to allow you to access your rear body mount locations for easier vehicle maintenance in the future.
