Ford Bronco Wheels 2021-2024

The Ford Bronco, a stalwart in the off-roading world much like its counterpart, the Jeep Wrangler, took a hiatus in the mid-nineties. Thankfully, the sixth-generation Bronco made a triumphant return in 2021, catering to off-road enthusiasts. While the 6G Bronco is already trail-ready, many owners opt for modifications, and a popular choice is upgrading wheels and tires. Enter Offroad Source – your go-to source for understanding aftermarket off-road wheel measurements and fitments for your Ford Bronco.

Ford Bronco Bolt Pattern : 6X5.5 or 6x139.7 Except Raptor which has a 6x135 bolt pattern.

Common Wheel Sizes are 17-24" In diameter with varying widths depending on application and preference.

OEM Ford Bronco Wheel Fitments: Before delving into aftermarket fitments, let's explore the factory wheel setups. The various trims of the 2021-2023 Ford Bronco share a common 6x139.7 PCD or 6X5.5 making OEM wheels interchangeable across most trims. The exception is the Ford Bronco Raptor, which has a 6x135 PCD.

Ford Bronco Wheels: Offsets: Understanding wheel offset is crucial. Positive offset situates the wheel deeper within the fender well, while negative offset allows for a more aggressive stance. The ideal offset depends on wheel diameter and width, ranging from +0mm to -76mm for larger and wider wheels.

On the subject of Bronco wheels, the “ideal” offset heavily depends on the diameter and the width of the wheel you mount on the truck. For a more traditional trail rig setup, +0mm to -12mm offset is the sweet spot. Bigger and wider wheels get a little more complex, as there’s a plethora of offsets to choose from ranging from -25mm all the way to -76mm.

Ford Bronco Wheels: Fitments: Reputable manufacturers offer Bronco wheels with perfect fitments, but knowing your options enhances your decision-making. Fitments for stock suspension, leveling kits, and lift kits (2.5" & Up) are outlined, providing specifications for achieving the desired look and accommodating larger tires.

Bronco Fitments: Leveling Kits: A leveling kit lifts the Bronco slightly, allowing for larger wheel and tire diameters. The suggested offsets within the same range as non-lifted setups provide flexibility based on personal preferences for a flush or aggressive look.

Bronco Fitments: Lift Kits 2.5" & Up: Specialty fitments come into play with lift kits above 2.5", catering to enthusiasts who prioritize an aesthetic lift and car show wheel sizes. Variations in sizes and offsets are possible, but such fitments are less common on this platform.

Cast vs. Flow Formed vs. Beadlock: Choosing the right wheel type is crucial. Cast, Flow Formed, and Beadlock wheels serve different purposes, with cast being popular for its cost-effectiveness, Flow Formed for strength and lightness, and Beadlock for true off-road vehicles.

Cast: Cast wheels are manufactured by pouring molten aluminum into a mold. Cast wheels are by far the most popular choice of wheels among enthusiasts as they are cost effective, reliable, and readily available.

Flow Formed: Similar to cast wheels, Flow Formed wheels start their life out in a similar mold stage. Flow Formed wheels are simply a cast face wheel which has been heated and spun at high rates of speed to be stretched and compressed. Because of this process, Flow Formed wheels are stronger and lighter than cast.

Beadlock: These are for true rock crawlers and off road vehicles. Beadlock wheels lock the tires to the wheel. The purpose a beadlock wheel originally was to prevent wheels from dismounting when placed under massive amounts of torque load and lower-than-normal tire pressures. Beadlock off road wheels typically come in a Flow Formed or full Forged configuration.
